Policyholders can now enjoy the comfort of storing all insurance policies electronically under one consolidated electronic insurance account or e-insurance account(eIA) without any cost through Alankit. With the launch of National Insurance – Policy Repository (NIR) services by the Insurance Regulatory & Development Authority (IRDA), policyholders can easily store all insurance policies electronically. The e-insurance account can be opened by the existing policy holders or potential insurance policy holders. The insurance companies are also likely to minimize their costs through this initiative, which will also provide convenience to policy holders, thus helping in improving the insurance penetration in the country.

Registration for NIR:

  • Step 1: Download the e-Insurance Account (eIA) application form

  • Step 2: Fill up the form with accurate details and attach the required KYC documents including a valid proof for Date of Birth and a cancelled cheque copy. Submit the completed eIA application to any of the Alankit office branch nearby. Click here for the network details.

  • Step 3: After submitting, the completed eIA application form is duly verified and processed accordingly. Then, the respective e-Insurance Account (eIA) is created for the concerned applicant. The account is accessible only by the applicant, using a unique login Id and password given to him.
